Wallace True Tones and Volume Pedals
I remember reading once that BL 912 pups were matched for an active type volume pedal. So the question is, did JW design his TT pups to match one type of volume pedal or another (passive or active), and what experience has everyone had in this regard.
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks guys, because while I use a Goodrich 120 pot pedal now, I want to switch to a Hilton this Spring. I figured as much and went ahead and ordered a TT pup yesterday evening for my GFI U-12. Everyone says it will give me that tonal separation and clarity that I am really looking for. I look foreward to trying the TT out.

Hey guys, while your on the subject of True
Tone pickups, I am going to order a set of TT's for my LeGrande with stock pickups. The input I need is which pickup would most pickers use, the 17.5, 18.5 or 19.5 ohm. Like I told Jerry, I like my tone now but if I can improve it a little, why not? I like a little bottom but not muddy, Nor do I
care for extreme highs. My way or thinking is the 18.5. Maybe I just answered my own question. Like to hear from you guys.
Keep pickin', Larry

Del, I have tested my pickups with both active (Hilton) and passive (Goodrich) volume pedals with good results in both cases..
It is possible with a preamp pedal to get too much gain to the input of your amp..But I have not had any reports of this with my pickups..Also with the Hilton pedal there is an gain adjustment in the bottom.
The impedance of my pickups is designed to work good over a pretty wide range of volume pedals, preamps, effects etc.
