Boot-leg L705's ?

A lot was written here sometime back about the fake L 705's.I did a search but found nothing.I can't remember how to tell the real ones fron the fakes.

I had a black 705 that quit working a few years ago and I sent it to Bill for repair. They never said anything to me about it being a bootleg.

Bobby,
I have a L-705 for a Emmons it has a sticker on the bottom side: U.S. PATENT # 4,364,295 it measures 20.44 ohms. It has the chrome band just like the pic in the post. If you are interested. I will be in Saluda Nov 15 & 16
