Gigpro Pre-amp
Am looking for a decent pre-amp for my
dobro, mando,(dare I say it)banjo.I like to use a mic and a pick-up.I have been using an old ART tube mic pre-amp with the pick-ups
but get a lot of feed back at gig volume. Some
one sugested a L.R. Baggs Gigpro. Can any of you recomend one?Likes, dislikes? Thanks

I played a bar gig last night (Hogs & Heifers) with both banjo & mando in the band at the same time and between a bad house system, a bad sound man, and lord knows what-all the two pickers were using it was like living in a feedback tunnel. I sure hope you can find something that works. I don't know anything about the feedback eliminators but I wonder if this would be a good application for one.
[This message was edited by Jon Light on 18 October 2003 at 06:10 AM.]
