I have just got my own Nashville 1000 and
would like to know what your favorite settings are for steel.
Thanks.

Uwe..I think you will find many are using similar setups.

For me

Bass at around 1:00
Mids at around 9:00..maybe 8:00
pitch at around 800 I think or a little less which is around 1:00 on the knob
Treble and Presence also at around 1:00

Obviously these are just starting points.

The mids will have the most dominant effect I believe.

The Peavey website also has similar settings

Good luck

I use the E9 settings in the manual, except less reverb.

Uwe:
Here are my Nash 1000 settings:
High-gain input, with 3-cord volume pedal hookup;
Low +9
Mid -15
Shift 700 to 800
High +5
Pres +3
Reverb +2 (with Boss analog delay pedal in post EQ effects loop)

I use these settings with direct line out to board, with Pre-Gain set at 2 or 3. If miking the amp speaker, I cut the Low to about +6 or +7, and may increase presence slightly. Hope this help!
[This message was edited by Randy Pettit on 07 October 2003 at 07:22 AM.]

Thank you all for your help.
I`ll try them all out to see which ones I like the best.
CrowBear, I`m one happy customer for sure Image.
It took a while before it got here but it was well worth the wait.
IMHO the Nashville 1k is much better suited for steel than my Fender Twin.
The sound is just incredible.
I don`t even need my Profex II anymore.
