Sounds from George L 6 position pickup?

Post by Peter »

Thanks to the Carter Website, it is possible to compare the sounds of different pickups. Great! You can compare George L' E66 to TW or TPP or 10-1 pickups, as well as Bill Lawrence 710, 910 and XR16.

Now here is the question: The George L 6 position pickup has different single coil and double coil sounds. Does any of these sounds come close to the E66 or Emmons pickup sound?
Thanks

Maybe close to the E66 (with certain guitars), but not like the old single-coil Emmons pickups (to my ears, anyway). If one pickup "did it all", everyone would be using it.
