Hello Mike
Why is it such a problem to get the N112 in Europe? I know you have said there are problems with transformers meeting European standards, but I can't understand why that is a problem.
Why can't you ship the Amps over to Corby (Northants) without the TX's and have them fitted over here. We have a Transformer manufacturer here in Leicester (Parmeko) to name just one of many that can supply TX's to European standards, and I am sure this would also bring down the cost of shipping from the States as the Amp would be that much lighter. Just a thought!
Dave.

forgive me fer buttin' in Dave
it's all about certification and meetin' european standards that Peavey has to obtain so their amps can be sold in Europa
like Mike B explained a while back, it costs a lot of money to get the EC certification or approval.
from what Mike B posted previously an Export model of the 112 will be available in Europa

Dave, thanks for the constructive input. But, it's not the availability of an export transformer that is the holdup. It's the safety approval fee of having the power supply certified in order to be shipped overseas that is the obstacle. These fees can run in the thousands of dollars, which adds cost to the end price of the product, which in turn has to be passed to the consumer.

The reason that the Nashville 112 will be shipping to other markets is because the power amp/power supply is already being used in another product that we now manufacture, and that product is presently shipping to foreign markets, so it is already approved.

The bottom line is that so few steel guitar amps are sold outside North America that the return does not exceed the expenses of producing the product. Hopefully, the Nashville 112 will meet the expectations of the overseas markets.

I just got my Nashville 112 today. Believe me, it'll be worth the wait. This thing sounds awesome, and I'm just running one of the little Dekley "semi-pro"??? guitars through it. Can't wait to hear it on some others.
