Help
I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF RESTORING AND RELEARNING ON A VINTAGE EMMONS S-10. ALL OF THE INSTRUCTION MATERIAL I GET LEADS INTO USE OF 2 OR 3 KNEE LEVERS. I AIN'T GOT BUT ONE. IS IT POSSIBLE TO ADD KNEE LEVERS TO A 1970'S PUSH PULL EMMONS S-10?

Tom, someone will come on pretty soon and move this to the Pedal Steel section. The standard these days on an S-10 is 3 or 4 pedals and 4 knee levers, many have 5. To add pedals or knees to your Emmons push/pull check with Bobbe Seymour at Steel Guitar Nashville, located in Hendersonville. These guitars are not simple to setup and adjust, if you don't know what you are doing. It would be a wise investment to have Bobbe or another p/p guru clean and adjust your guitar. It will play and sound better. Also there is information on tuning and adjustment of p/p guitars on the Carter web site. And there is a good manual on the care and maintenance of Push/pulls available on the web, but I can't remember where I got it. Maybe someone will see this and tell you. You probably should do another post in the Pedal Steel section with something in the topic header about push/pull setup. Good luck, these are one of the best classic pedal steels ever made.
[This message was edited by David Doggett on 08 August 2003 at 07:25 AM.]
