I'm getting curious about the True Tone pickups. I have read so many positive statements about them here on the forum and as a sucker for single coils i wonder if anyone has tried them in an older MSA. My Classic SS has E-66's and sounds pretty good with them, but again i'm a sucker for that chrystal-clear single coil sound. Would it be worth the touble and money to switch from those E-66's?

I have an MSA which is (I believe) a little older than yours. It's a 1976 Classic S-10.
I also had an E-66. After switching to a True Tone, and having had it a few weeks now, I'd say the switch was about 90% favorable. I don't think you'll be sorry if you switch.
James, thats perfect!
If i bring the steel on my boat i won't have to buy a new outboard engine!
I may buy a few extra for protection against dandruff, bugbites and spam mail too.
