Post by jim milewski »

Anyone ever use one, a guy has one for sale near me, it has all the potential of being a good steel amp I think.....210 watts, a Black Widow.....hmmm

This is the same amp as a Nashville 400 except I think it has the peavey distortion circut in it ("Saturation")

Grab it it is a keeper!

I haven't used the Jazz Classic, but I have a LA400 that looks the same, except it has a 12" Black Widow. I hadn't used this amp in 2 or 3 years, and recently got it out of the closet, thinking I would sell it. I cleaned it up and plugged it in, and WOW. I had forgotten how good it did sound. Even with a 12" speaker, this has a great steel and jazz guitar sound. I think I'll hang on to it. The reverb sounds better IMHO than any of the later Peavey amps, and the EQ is very versatile.
