Is this a good deal on a Nashville 400?

Amplifiers, effects, pickups, electronic components, wiring, etc.

Is this a good deal on a Nashville 400?

Post by Lincoln Goertzen »

I have a chance to try out a Nashville 400, and I don't know if this is a good deal or what. The amp is in nearly perfect condition, even though it is 6 years old. The man who used to use it played his fiddle through it, until the amp got too heavy. He is asking $375 CAN. for it. What do you think? Also, he will include a preamp for a small amount extra.

Thank you in advance.

Nash 400s are popular.
In good shape, with the original BW speaker, they sell fast for $400-$500 CDN.

Paid $350.00 CDN. for mine, got the Lemay mod kit from Al Brisco and installed it myself. Amp is worth every penny!!

Sounds like a really good deal to me--I paid $500 Cdn for mine, the seller shipped it from Ontario, and I was happy with the deal. I'd go for it.

And it's worth that price, Keith.

We're talking about a classic steel amp, with a reputation for reliability, that's no longer being produced. Some great players still use N400s that they had for years.

I have a lighter Evans, but my N400 is not for sale.
