transtube fex....help

Post by jim milewski »

it seems that mine clips to soon, the LED is coming on often, making it imperative to lower pre and post gain, making it necesary to really boost the amp, was there a revision for this, to keep from this overdrive my signal is nearly half if i went direct without it, I've tried it up front and in the effects loop of my Vegas and Session, even direct power amp in. Other than that I love this unit, I even bought a second one, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on how those using one hook it up, do I need a another preamp following it to get my signal back up

try setting the input level as described in the manual. if you dont have a manual, you can download from the Peavey website.

I can see where you might have to lower the global pre volume, but not the post volume. That would have to be lowered if driving the input of a guitar amp
