I need some help on setting the volume knobs
on the front and back for best results.

Hi Jim, I always set the front volume to 3 and the back between 3 and 5. It depends on what size amp (s) you are using and if you have effects in line, which may also have gain controls. It is always good practice to keep the master volume (back panel) higher than the volume on the front so as to not overdrive the preamp. The Evans is so clean, I don't think it will overdrive, but most amps will. The folks at Evans could help you more. I think there are descriptions of the controls on their website. www.evansamps.com
