I have a Fender Stage 112SE, which is the same amp sans the DSP and the other 12" speaker. While it's a great practice/small venue amp, I think that 160 (SS) watts is marginal for a "big" (2x12) steel amp.
Currently, I'm using a Peavey Stereo Chorus 212, which has 260 watts (130 watts per channel), and is "stereo" in the chorus mode. With a mod kit installed, it's one of the best SS amps I've ever used. While the delay and verb can't be "layered", and you're stuck with "presets" for the delay, the amp is still very versatile and powerful. The chorus is very "spacious sounding", and gives a luxurious stereo sound that seems louder at a distance than it does up close (a real plus when you have to play loud).
You can probably pick one of these up used for $300-$400, add the mod kit, and still save $100 over the cost of the Fender. The 160DSP is a brand new amp, and it'll be awhile before there are many used ones out there.
