resisistance on Bill Lawrence 705

can anyone tell me what reading i should get on the old bl 705 with the chrome case? the one i have shows 22k. but, i have spoke with 2 other people and they had readings of 18.5k and 16.35k respectively. my meter has been dropped many times and may be off.

I've got one that says 20.08, my other two are in a guitar that blend with other pickups so i can't measure them.
