TransTube Fex "System Battery Low" ??

Post by Jim Eller »

When I turn on my TransTube Fex I get the message, "Caution-System Battery Low".

The question is, can I change this myself or is it something that has to be returned to Peavey to do?

Also, if I can do it, where do I find the replacement battery?

Thanks,
Jim

Of all the units I have replaced batteries in, this is the most difficult. If you are well versed in soldering, have a ton of patience and good low wattage iron you can do it. You will lose all your presets, save them to a card or midi-filer. You can get the battery thru Peavey Parts. If you are not trained in elecgtronics and the handling of static sensative components, send it in for repair. Get it upgraded to version 2.0 and the tuner will be very stable.
