Post by Robert Herr »

I use a Nashville 400 with the Lemay Mod run into a Goodrich 6A Matchbox.Anyone using this combo, I would like to know your settings on the 400 and the 6A MatchBOX.

The Goodrich Matchbox is not an effects unit.
You place it between your steel and the Nashville 400. I go steel into foot volume, Matchbox, then amp. I usually start out with both knobs on the Matchbox at high noon and go from there.

Isn't the MatchBox the impedence matching unit that clips onto your guitar leg? If so, it is designed to go between the guitar and volume pedal, not between the volume pedal and amp.

Sorry about that guys! Yes, it's guitar, matchbox, volume pedal and then amp. I must be having on of my "senile" moments.

What Jim said on Matchbox. Settings on Nashville 400 ; Bass + 12, Mid -3,Shift 800, High +6, Presence +6 ,Reverb 5, Post Gain 8, Pre-Gain to what your ears will stand. Hope this will help. Jody.

By the way, if you're a little handy with a soldering iron you can do what I did. I have a 6A and I got a little toggle switch from Radio Shack and mounted it like it is on the 7a so you don't have to keep pulling out the plug to disengage the battery.
