BL XR-16 Pick up Q's

Post by autry andress »

I have a L XR-16 pick up on the way. This will be going in a Derby. Is this a good combination?? Also I may try it in my Fessy
& put the BL-710 in the Derby. (Fessy & 710)
Really don't want to change any thing.Best sound I've ever had. Any Feed back on the Derby & XR-16 is appricated.

I think the Derby will sound good with all types of pickups you prefer!
The sound is in the body, and the way it comes out has to do with personal taste. Say: Ray Price's voice still sounds like Ray Price, no matter if you hearhim through a Shure, Sennheiser or Neumann Mic?
The same with Steelguitar! A Derby will sound like a Derby, and a Sho~Bud like a Sho~Bud..
