Post by Hiro Keitora »

I have two Mini Brute 2, and one of which is having a problem. Compare to the one works fine,It works and loud and everything but, there are "sizzle" around notes. Notes comes out clean but "sizzle" follows. What is causing this problem?

BTW,Anyone can spare schematics? <Hiro>

I guess you tried temporarily jumping over
to another speaker? That high end sizzle
that's heard as the notes trail off is a
typical symptom of a slightly rubbing
voice coil.

Yea, I tried that. But no luck. BTW, Polytone should come with 2 ohm speaker I heard. Anyone knows which replacement speaker to use?

Thanks Sam,
I've used a Polytone for years, but that site is news to me.
Cheers

Thanks Sam! Polytone is a funny company, they are not very strong on customer service. For example, it would be real nice if that 2ohm replacement speaker is avilable from Polytone, but that doesn't seem like a case here.
