Fender D8 Tuners / Peavey repair

Post by Carter York »

Hi y'all,

I am (finally) getting a Fender D8 outta layaway next month, and I know for certain one of the tuners is shot. I tried to tune the string in question while I was test playing it, and it seemed to get tension, then 'slip'. What all should I plan on replacing/fixing when I get it? Should I replace all of the tuners, and are there products (or suppliers, I guess) y'all like/don't like? Thanks for any input.

Also, who should I take my Peavey Classic to here in Austin?

Thanks again,
Carter

I suggest Musicmakers Austin. Their phone number is (512)444-6686. You can also check our dealer locator from the Peavey website;http://www.peavey.com/support/dealerlocator/

Hope that this helps.
