TransFex pro 212 & Jeff Newman Card

Post by RON PRESTON »

Hello, Mike Brown, and everyone else who can answer my question. As you know, I bought a "TransFex Pro 212" Amp several weeks ago. I downloaded the amp with the 33 cashe card with the Jeff Newman presets....BUT, when I use the arrow to get the "John Hughey 1" for example, or ANY preset that is on the 33 card, I cannot control the amps' Bass, treble, mid, or shift, or any of the controls on the front of the amp. When I get to the FACTORY presets that are already downloaded in the amp....I can use ALL controls..I do not know WHY, or WHAT I am doing wrong. The amp came with I think 128 factory presets, and I added My 128 Jeff Newman presets, so, Why can't I control the amp settings when I am on, Lets say.."66 Emmons",or any other settins that is on my 33 card...Thanks in advance everyone.

Ron, this is just a guess on my part. Newman used the solid state preamp setting on the profex and the Transfex must have a tube preamp that the front panel controls work. They would be inactive with the solid state preamp selected. That is the way my tubefex works.
