Stereo Power Amp Question

Can a stereo amp be used as if it were two separate power amps? This is a Mosvalve 962 (2x80w). It would have two different instruments into two separate preamps into the two separate amp channels to two different speaker cabs. Any harm?

Should be no problem. One time I had to run the monitors with one side of my amp. It worked fine.
