Nashville 400 Problems

Post by Will Aytes »

My amp when I turn it on makes what I call a barking noise, for the lack of a better expression, and continues on with this intermitently. If you leave it on for a while unused it will make this also.

Need Help

I would suspect that a loose conponnet, wire or molex plug is the problem.

If you were in the "Nashville" area,I would be glad to check it out for you. Generally, these pops, intermittent shutdowns, whistles are not major amp-killing problems.

A good Electronics tech in your area should be able to locate your problem without too much hunting.

Hello Will,
That is a hard one to pinpoint without bench testing the unit. A guess would be that it might be related to the filter caps, but that is just a guess. Here is a link to the authorized Peavey Service Center page from our website;http://www.peavey.com/support/dealerlocator/

I'm sure that they can assist with the repair of your amp. Let me know if I can assist.
