Mike - Nashville 400 minor problem?

Post by Dag Wolf »

A fellow called me yesterday and he`s having a little problem with his Nash.400.

After turning the amp on and leaving it on for about 25 minutes the yellow copm. light comes on and stays on. It?S a `88 model and has been this way since it was new.

He claimes that he has no problem with the sound.
Should he do something with it?

Thanks,
Dag

This may be caused by a defective 87478 compression IC or maybe a problem with that IC socket.

Hope that this helps.

Dag, I have the same problem with my Session 500 only the light is on at startup and seems to reduce the volume somewhat.

Gary, I would check for a shred of metal that maybe caught in the Black Widow speaker gap. It may just need blowing out with a high pressure air nozzle.

Thanks Mike, I have also been advised that it may be some corrosion in the Molex connectors and spray some contact cleaner on them. Will have to take the bull by the horn. I love this amp, thanks again,Gary.
[This message was edited by Gary Walker on 19 September 2002 at 10:07 PM.]
