CD player
I play with a lot of tracks on CD's. I've been having trouble with them starting to skip, or won't play selected tracks. I've been using a Radio Shack unit. Need advice on a new purchase. Thanks in advance!

Good suggestion, but my experience is that the cleaner CDs don't work so well. The best thing I have done is to get a cotton swab and put some isopropyl alcohol on it and clean the laser lens with that. If that doesn't do it, there may be dirt or a malfunction in the laser head transport mechanism which means a trip to the repair shop if the unit is worth it. The swab thing has yet to fail me, though! Hope that helps. - Roger

Idea for you.
Get an MP3 jukebox instead! Ripp the CD once to disc and then have instant access to all your tracks just like a CD - save's your CD's
Perhaps that Nomad Jukebox, or the new Nomad MuVo - USB sticks into the PC. Get some MP3 software like MusicMatch and your set.

I use a mp3 jukebox thingy - and man - for practice, rehearsal what ever - it's great, great, great.
