Can someone tell me where to hook this rhythm machine to my amp and and play my steel together with it? I'm trying to use this gadget(DR-5 Rhythm machine) to practice with. Thanks for any help.

Skip; I have a G.D.Walker Stereo Steel Pre-Amp that I've been trying to sell, over in BUY AND SELL for a long time! The circutry is patterned after the Session 400. It has Pre-Gain,Pres.,High,Mid,Freq.,Low, Optional Parametric EQ,On the back is a stereo effects loop, balanced stereo out for the board/recorder, and RCA jacks to plug in a stereo tape deck w/vol. control. On the front is a jack to plug in earphones to here everything in stereo, or you can plug the stereo main outputs in to a stereo power amp. and take everything to a place you want to play and play a one man show with just you and your rhythm tracks all coming out of one stereo system! It's great, you can practice at home with just the pre-amp alone and earphones or add the power amp. It's your choice. If your intersted and can't find it in BUY AND SELL just E-mail me anytime! Hi Skip:
Wouldnt go anywhere without my DR-5. I have a vidio I did myself, explaining the DR-5 and would be happy to send you one. just send your snail mail address, and I'll get one off to you. Its a neat machine, with alot of potential. as far as practice,,,it really forces you into the lead parts. its helped me more than anything. hope this might be some help.

If the Nashville has two inputs, use one for the guitar and one from the left out of the DR-5. Regulate the output volume of the DR-5 with its level control. Got one myself, do that all the time with any of my amps that have two inputs.
Hello Skip,
Thanks for purchasing the Nashville 1000 amplifier. I recommend that for playback purposes, that you connect from the mono output of the DR-5 to the POST EQ RETURN jack. I trust that your DR-5 has an output level control? If so, this should allow you to adjust levels between DR-5 and steel guitar. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help, fellows, i'm gonna try it all.
John B., sounds like a great set-up you have but i'm downsizing some of my rack equipment.
Joseph, thanks for your post and your email, i may be calling on you again for more info. I'll let you know how all this works out.
Ken, I'll try your approach also, the 1000 does have 2 ins.
Mike, This 1000 is a fine amp, i still have a lot to learn, plenty of exercise for my brain on this one. Did the small Nash 100 ever get off the ground, the one Billy Phelps demo'd at St. Louis last year?
Skip; Here is an amp setting that seems to work very well for me with my steel, a QuadraVerb, and (2) 1000 Amps. I think you might like it: Pre-Gain 2_(bottom edge),LOW +9db, MID -6db,SHIFT 1:00,HIGH -3db, PRES 0db,REV 0,MASTER 7 1/2. JOHN
