Transtubefex/Tubefex Button Problem
About a year ago, I had a problem with my Transtubefex. Two of the buttons (the up and right buttons) started to work sporadically. They gradually got worse and were at best a pain to use.
I took the unit to my local Peavey authorized repair dealer thinking they would need to be replaced. I got the Transtubefex back in about a week and they told me the contacts were dirty and needed to be cleaned (charged me $75). It seemed to fix the problem.
Now I have another Transtubefex with the same apparent problem. Does anyone know how difficult or smart it is to take the Transtubefex apart and clean the contacts?

Bruce, it is possible to clean some of the buttons from the top side of the unit simply by removing the top panel and spraying Peavey Funk Out into those buttons. However, the lower buttons are a bit more difficult to access and may require the removal of main circuit board. CAUTION; unplug unit before attempting the repair.
Otherwise, I suggest that you have a qualified technician repair the switch buttons. Here is our service center locator from the Peavey website; http://www.peavey.com/support/dealerlocator/
Or, you may send the unit in care of me here at Peavey Electronics. The address is;
