Profex problem

Post by Steve England »

Hi everyone, my Profex has been giving me a lot of problems lately. I suspect it may be dead, but I wondered if anyone else has had this experience.

A few weeks ago, all of my user programs disapeared, and were replaced with those wonderful factory settings. I don't have a card, so with the help of Jack Stoners web page I managed to reprogram about half a dozen of the programs I use most. Problem solved I thought.

This last week I was playing a gig. First part of the set, no problem, but on the fifth or sixth song I was getting nothing from the profex at all. I had to go through the 400 for the first time in a couple of years.

When I got home I checked the profex and still am getting no sound at all. The diplay board is normal, the green light comes on but no sound comes out. Any one got any suggestions, or ideas, apart from burying it out back?

Thanx

Try reinitializing the unit. But, be sure that you ensure that the battery is not leaking inside the chassis. Contact us here at Peavey should you need further assistance. I can be reached toll free at 1-877-732-8391.

Steve. Sounds like the problem I had a few weeks ago. Sometimes it would come on sometimes not. Everything else seemed to work just as you described, but no sound. I sent mine in to Peavey and they repaired it in what I considered a resonable time and price.
