2 in ,2 out, model 120 S, I think....

anybody got a take- apart proceedure? I need to clean or replace the twin potentiometers... it's scritchin'.

I've got a couple of them. When they start scritchin, I'll pump them about 100 times and that tends to fix it, if it doesn't, I replace the pots. I've thought about drilling holes in the back covers to spray them. Also if I store them with the pedal full on instead of off, the scritch happens at full on.

I will "exercise" the pedal and see if it helps but

re:replacing the pots-
what is "step one" of correctly getting into one of these things?
I feel confident I can replace the pots if necessary... I just need to know how to get it apart the right way...

Dave, it's actually pretty simple, remove the 4 screws on the bottom. Take your pencil and a sheet of paper and very carefully draw the pots and the wires that go to the 6 poles and write down which color goes to which pole. I'm not kidding. Then draw how the yellow string wraps around the brass collar and setscrew and then loops through and is screwed to the whatever_it's_called. If you don't do this, I promise you will wish you did. Unsolder the wires from the pots. Then pedal up, note where the set screw is when the pot is all the way off, around 2 o'clock, and unscrew the string screw on the whatever_it's_called, allen wrench the set screw on the collar, remove take pot out and reverse the procedure, except don't erase the pencil drawing

The biggest pain is getting the string taught and the pot to be off when the pedal is up. If the string has slack in it, there will be a lag in the responce. A VOM is helpful to see that the pot is really off when the pedal is up.
