How hard is it to install a "line out" jack?

Amplifiers, effects, pickups, electronic components, wiring, etc.

How hard is it to install a "line out" jack?

Maybe one of you tech gurus can help me on this. I have a little Ibanez amp I like to use in small venues, and I usually mic it and run it thru the PA. Would it be tough to put a quarter inch line out jack somewhere so I could just take the signal directly?

PV makes a "EDI" box that you can plug in (between) the speaker output and the speaker. It has a XLR mic chord out, on the box to plug directly into the board.
I think they retail for about $60? I use one with my 1976 session 400. Works very well.

Any competent technician can do this. And if he has a schematic of the amp, it's a very quick and simple operation. If you're having it done, I'd have them install a level control for the line-out jack as well.
