Question for Mike Brown or Good tech

Post by Bill Taft »

1st question will a 1501 magnet fit a shallow bowl basket?
2nd question will an old spider magnet fit the new 1501 basket?
Where could I find the chrome straps that go on top of the old sessions, there is one on each side with about a 3-4 inch screw to hold the chassis up. Or can someone nickel plate them. You cant buy them new from peavy anymore you have to buy the black straps.
Thanks Bill Taft

The magnets to all Black Widows are identical except for the original Spider/Peavey magnets of the late '70's/early '80's, which are the flat magnets that you decribe. These early magnets do not fit todays' BW baskets. The magnet that we manufacture at this time will fit a 1501-4 shallow basket or any other 12",15" or 18" basket.

Since we switched to a black metal amp strap a few years back, our stock of chrome amp straps has been depleted, but thanks for checking with us. We appreciate your business and the support of our products.
