volume pedal w/2 outs

Post by Marc Muller »

Using Derby volume pedals. 3 holes, front to guitar, back to amp. When I try to use middle one to go to another amp or DI it has a really low output. Any clues. Have 2 other's and they all do the same thing. thanks

Does that happen when you swap the two outputs, meaning the middle jack to the amp and the other to the DI.

Yea, I've trouble shooted everything. Aren't the 2 outputs supposed to send equal volume to both? Is it just that there is significant volume loss when employing both?

Could it be a balanced line vs unbalanced kind of thing? Two rings vs one? Just a thought.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe you are splitting a hi impedence signal. That could be responsible for the volume loss. If all three pedals are doing that then they all can't be broken. I would keep quiet about it too, otherwise everyone will want a pedal that does that.
