Nashville 400 w/12 inch speaker

Post by Len Amaral »

Some players have opted for an amp with a 12 inch speaker. Has anyone ever made a new baffle board and used a 12 inch speaker with a Nashville 400? The Peavey 1203-4 speaker would be a perfect choice for the Nashville 400.

Inquiring minds want to know?

Len....

I have a "Nashville 400 head that I use sometimes with a "Peavey" 112e cab. Personally, I feel it does a good job for a small venue. (Read this as "indoors")

It's great for 'Jammin' and practic sessions where you dont need a lot of volumne.

This is what a Peavey "LA 400" is.

I had a Nashville 400 head that i used with a 112E cab that actulally sounded warmer, to my ears anyway, in smaller rooms than the 1501-4 speaker. However, it also sounded good at higher volumes.

I was wondering how the 1203-4 speaker would sound in the Nashville 400 enclosure? I am going to install a new 3/8" baffle board over the current baffle board with a cut out for the 12 inch speaker. We'll see?
