Another way to warm up that tone

I'm pretty low in the food chain when it comes to playing skill and ear for tone. However, let me share this one tidbit.I recently got hold of a tube stompbox that I actually got for my Fender strat. Anyway, I put the thing between my Carter and an Evans FET500 and find the result very pleasing to the ear. The plethora (great word, right?) of tone control knobs can keep you busy on a rainy Sunday but the bottom line is there's no way to not get a nice sound out of the thing. It adds no sound of its own but just makes your own gear sound sort of sweet and gentle. I still play like crap but its a very nice sounding crap. If your interested---
