Boss RV3 problems ?
I just got an RV3 and am having problems. I play a LeGrande III with a Hilton pedal. It seems to work OK when I hook up Guitar>RV3>Vol.Ped.>Amp. although I cant hear any delay when using reverb and delay together. I tried hooking up Guitar>Vol.Ped.>RV3>Amp. and have to press vol. ped. all the way down to even be able to hear any sound at all, even with amp. turned up all the way.I am using short cords and going into the High Gain input of my Nashville 1000. Anyone have this same problem?

Need some more info??
Are you using a AC adapter to power it? Or a Battery? Does the red light come on(bright? or at all?)??
What settings are you using on the RV-3?
I suggest guitar>Vol>RV-3>Amp. so out of the volume pedal and into the input of RV-3 then out of output of RV-3 and into the input of AMP..right?
That's how I run mine and have no probs. and for Delay/Reverb setting....I use #7 on far right...and far left knob makes more or less the output amount and I'm on 7 or 8 oclock....and the middle left knob I'm at 9 oclock and middle right knob I'm at 1 oclock.

Ricky, I'm using the same settings you are ( Lloyd Green) I am using a power unit to power the RV-3 and the light is bright red, it just kills ALL the volumn when I connect the RV-3 between the VP. and the amp. I dont know how to use, or even if I should use,the effects loops on the NV 1000. The instruction manual does not go into using the loops very clearly. I thought the Hilton pedal might have something to do with it, but Kieth says no. I have an Emmons pot pedal that I havent tried yet, but will today.

The plastic knob on my "Mix" control got loose on mine. I put a little piece of paper over the post and shoved the knob back on and all is well.
It sounds like your mix is to low.
Reef on that knob and see what you get, because with those settings you should hear a very wet mix at about the 11 o'clock Mix position.

I appreciate all the suggestions and followed through with all. It became obvious that there was a defect in the RV-3. I called Bobbe S. and apparently he had read my post. He has one of those spy machines that tells who is calling and answered with " another unit is on the way, no charge " Simply amazeing. It doesn't get any better than that. I only regret not getting to talk to Brandy. Thanks to all who tried to help. Martin.
