The one I use is a Fulltone Fulldrive 2.
It works best in conjuntion with a tube power section in my experience.
One of those Line 6 Pods is worth checking out. And I think the ultimate thing to use, outside of a funky old tube amp, would be a THD Univalve. The UV has an output so it can be slaved to another amp.

Since you don't say what your rig is, let me add--a Tube Screamer type circuit seems to work well with solid state amps. A number of effects boxes are just enhanced TS clones. I use the Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive and it does indeed seem to work better with my Evans than with my Fender. This can be dialed in for just some subtle funk.
