Evans Pre-amp

I need a little assistance with my hookup.
I just purchased the Evans and hooked it up
according to instructions that came with it
and it really hums loudly when the power amp
is turned on. I am trying to use a stewart
world 1.2, a Lexicon mPX100 and the Evans
Pre-Amp. Someone please tell me how to hook
it up so i don't get that loud hum.
