I have an Alesis data disc memory that was dropped and wont display anything but jibberish. I also have an Alesis MMT-8 sequencer that needs straightening out. Can anyone direct me to repairs. Texas Jack Baker <texjac@netins.net>

Jack,
There is probably a command to initialize the unit. Most devices have a reset procedure which usually consists of holding down a combination of buttons while powering on the unit. This may get rid of the random characters you're seeing in the LCD. I'd say it's worth calling Alesis to get the procedure and try to re-initialize.
Here's their contact info (pasted from their site).
