I know this is probably a very elementary question to most of you. I recenly purchased a New Evans amp. I've always used a digital delay between my pedal and my old amp. My new amp has an effects loop. It has a "Return" and a "Send" . How exactly do I (in elementary language please)hook my delay up to these. What is the purpose of an effects loop? Can you use more than one effect, like a chorus? Help!

Send would plug into the input on your delay, and return would plug into the output. The effects loop is there to be able to interface with line level devices, like a reverb or a delay. Send is the signal being sent out of the amp, and Return is the signal returning to the amp. You can use more than one effect in there, if you want, but I would use a chorus pedal before the amp, and any reverb or delay in the effects loop. I wouldn't put any effect that boosts the signal in the effects loop, like a compresser or distortion.
