match box (imp. control)
Hello "FORUM"
Has anyone used a match box on a Peavey Nashville 1000?
I have used one on many amps, mostly tube,
with only one volume control.
most of the solid state mfg. that use a pre & post cotrol claim there is no need for one. just adjust input level to get the same
type of pickup match...any thoughts?
KEEP PICKING!

If you've used one with a Tube amp you will probably want to use it with a solid state amp. I've never heard what you've said about SS amps.
I used to use one all the time with my PP Emmons and a Session 500 and Nashville 400. And with my Franklin with the original Lawrence 510 pickups. With the newer L710's I find I don't need a matchbox type unit.
