Well I guess from your statement, that you already know, out to in, in to out. I am not familiar with the Mesa but does it have post EQ send/return that`s the best place to enter then read the manual. Are you bringing up the PRE volume and POST volume, did that insult you? Idon`t know what you Know or don`t know but if you`ll E me with what you`ve done and/or the spect`s of your Mesa I can better tell you. The MPX 100 is afabulous sounding, versital, user friendly unit so don`t give up, your effort`s will be rewarded.

I have a similar rig with a Mesa Boogie preamp, Lexicon MPX100, RPM1, and Hafler 3000. I just go from the Effects out to the Lexicon. Take the two outs of the Lexicon and plug them into the Effects return. Then patch the Main Outs to the power amp and that should do it.
thanks for all your help. I downloded the manual for the preamp and hopefully can get it done along with your help. once again, thank you for your time.

Well the manual did not help. The lexicon unit is not working, only the green and red level lights come one but no effects. When i unplug it from the chain the preamp and power amp produce a muddy distorted tone with hardly to no volume. any suggestions would really help.
thanks,trap
From your last post, it sounds like you've got problems without even hooking up the Lexicon. You need to check each piece of equipment and verify that they are working properly. If you have another amp, you can try taking the output of the preamp into it, or into your stereo or TV, pretty much anything that will take some kind of signal in. That way you can confirm whether it's working or not. If it's working then move on to the power amp and check it out. For checking out the Lexicon, I would think that the pedal steel would have enought level that you could feed it directly in to check it out. Hope that helps.
