Pro-Fex II ? for Mike Brown
I've had this unit for at least 7 years and it still works great but I see the clip light coming on all the time. Recently used it in the studio running it direct and hear this buzzing. I had to turn the input and the output down quite a bit and use a compressor to get it to quiet down. Is the battery going out or worse? I've considered getting the Transtubefex but don't know enough about it. I had a Tubefex but didn't care for it and traded it off. This Profex II is stock with no mod kit. It's been used extensively and sounds great through amps but the clip light still comes on and has for as long as I can remember. Is this anything to worry about?

Frank, the best advice that I can give you is to contact me here at the factory and let's pose your questions to the techs who work on Peavey gear. I can be reached toll free from 8AM-5PM CST here at Peavey by calling 1-877-732-8391. I'll be glad to look into this for you.
As for Lyle's question, yes you can use it in an insert point of a mixer. You may download the operating guide from this link; http://www.peavey.com/media/pdf/manuals/80301907.pdf
Thanks,
Mike Brown
