ProFexII

Post by Ray Montee (RIP) »

When I attempted to play my ProFex-stereo Peavy set-up the other day, I got only a weak DISTORTION of all notes picked.
The amps work good, singly.

DOES THIS MEAN that the ProFex battery has leaked and destroyed my "board"?

Ray, open up the top and look at the battery on the board. Six screws hold the top on. I work in Portland and live in Battle Ground, Wa. If you need, I have the batteries and can change it for you. Email me or call:

The battery probably isn't the cause of your problems, unless you lost all of your user programs.

Go through the setup and make sure everything is set properly and that the guitar cord you are using between the Profex II and the amp is good.

When the battery leaks you will usually see problems with the LCD display first. Jack is probably right. However, check the battery, get it replaced with a new one if it has the original nicad (dark blue battery). The new batterys are aqua colored, type Nmh.

Jack and Ken MANY THANKS!

I'll be tearing into the unit tonight. As far as I know, the display is still okay so I'm hoping with all of my heart that it's the cord, as suggested.

I'll be back in touch. Thanks so very much.
