Difference between NV 1000 and PX300?
Are the PX300 just a stripped Nashville 1000?
Will the NV 1000 do the same job at poweramp input?
Thanks,
Dag

Hello Dag,
I use the Nashville 1000 along with a PX 300. The PX300 is a slave amp that in my opinion gives a real balanced sound on stage when used with the NV1000. It allows the sound to be presented to the audience as opposed to attacking them with a large amount of volume. You CAN use two Nashville 1000's in the same manner.
I would recomend you get in touch with Mike Brown at Peavey Electronics and he can answer any technical questions you may have.
I hope this provided some usable information
for you.

Thanks Jerry.
If I have a Session 2000 and use the NV 1000 instead of a PX300 would that NV 1000 do the same job as the PX300?
Reason for asking is that I guess that a PX300 can`t be used alone as a steel amp. So if there`s not much price difference I might as well go ahead and buy a NV1000. This will also give me two combo amp`s if I down the line might need only one amp.
Also I think selling a NV1000 would be much easier than selling a PX300 if I deside to sell.
Thanks,
Dag

Hello Dag,
I think you are correct with your idea of having two self contained amps. That way, should the worst ever happen, you would always have at least one amp to fall back on. That is the downside of the PX300 in that it is not a self contained unit. I think you will enjoy your Nashville 1000
using it with the 2000 or by itself. I use the 1000 alone sometimes and it works for what it was designed for..steel guitar!
This is just my opinion..but I have used this equipment in every imaginable scenerio
and it's never let me down.

Thanks for inquring about the Nashville 1000 and PX300. Yes, you can use the Nashville 1000 as a slave since it has a POWER AMP INPUT jack on the rear panel.
The Session 2000, Nashville 1000 and the PX300 all use the same cabinet design, 1501-4 SB Black Widow speaker, and 300 watt digital power amp. The 1000 has the modified version of the Nashville 400.

About two weeks ago I sold a 1000 to a session 2000 owner for that reason, so he could leave a amp at the band practice hall, and then combine them for the gig,Just go into the power amp in and wa-la. By the way 2 Px 300`s make an easy light stereo rig for you Pro fexer`s,Transtubers,Evan`s HV PRE AMPS,ETC.

You are right Danny on the tone diffrence on useing the 1000 and the PX-300 togeather, compaired with two 1000,s togeather...i,v tryed both ways...on stage, off stage, and to me, the best tone all the way round is the 1000 and the PX-300 togeather, which give the big sound without haveing the problum of adjusting the tone on the second amp from time to time...don,t misunderstand me on useing two 1000 amps togeather...they are great togeather...its just that i like the PX-300 and the 1000 tone better.
