question about the mosvalve 1160/962
I am thinking about getting a mv 1160/962 power amp and was curious if the power,80 watts, could handle c6 at loud volumes or if it would be under powered for some jobs?
I am trying to do without the weight of the mv 500. I use a mesa boogie studio preamp.
any comments about the amp would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,trap

Trap,
I believe Mark Van Allen uses that amp. Perhaps he'll answer -- otherwise, you can send him EMail at flyingmonkey@mindspring.com
Last time I heard Blueground Undergrass he was using that amp (80W / side) through a 115e and a 112e cabinet and it sounded good to me -- very much like my MV500. He did go through the board and the PA as I recall.
Great sounding amps!
Good luck.
