I saw a Peavey Reno on a for sale list for low $$. What is this amp and how does it compare with a Session 400 or Nashville 400, anybody know?

The Peavey Reno 400 is an acoustic amplifier that Peavey made for several years. The electronics are the same as the Nashville 400. It has the same power rating. The big difference is instead of a 15" Black Widow, it has a horn and a 15" Scorpion speaker.
I have had a Reno 400 for about 18 years and it is a great acoustic amp. When I started playing steel, I had a switch installed to shut the horn off. It is OK for playing at home, but I use my Nashville 400 at church. If you switched off the horn and installed a Black Widow 1501-4, it would make a great steel amp. It would also still sound great as an acoustic amp with the horn switched on.

The Peavey Reno 400 was designed to be an electric/acoustic guitar amp. It is from the "City Series" so the amp is the same as the Nashville 400, only with the CDH tweeter horn and in a taller cabinet with a Peavey Scorpion speaker.

Thanks for using Peavey products.
