ProFex II......Is there a battery? Where is it located? Who fixes/replaces things like that? How long do they last?

When it's replaced, the memory bank erases?
WHO MIGHT have a CARD to reinstall the original affects. Does Scotty still sell them?

HELP! My inquiring mind really must know.

Ray, Check over in Electronics,there was a thread on this just the other day. As far as the memory cards go Ann Fabian from Carter stated that they sell the Roland cache card which Peavey says will work in the Profex.

Ray,
If you or anyone you know is using any MIDI sequencing software, you should be able to dump your information (sys-ex or system exclusive) to a file and reload it to your later after you've changed the battery.

Hi Ray,
Call Showcase Music on SE Hawthorne St here in Portland.
As I recall they have an authorized Peavey tech on staff.

Hello Ray,
Thanks for using the Peavey Profex II. Carter Steel Guitars have RAM cartridges that will work. As far as the internal battery replacement, I suggest that you have a qualified technician replace the battery as needed. We can service your product here at the factory should you decide to send it to us. Our service address is;
Peavey Service Center
Hwy. 80 East
Meridian, MS 39301

Please include a note of the symptoms and a daytime phone number with your product. If you wish to discuss this with me, feel free to call me toll free in the U.S. at 1-877-732-8391 and I'll be glad to assist. Who can service a Peavey product better than a Peavey technician?
