Peavey 100 (prototype)

Did anybody sight the new Peavey 100 practice amp at the St. Louis steel guitar convention..."Mike Brown" of Peavey made mention earlier to me that it may show up for trial at the convention...The amp is called the Nashville 100...let me hear..thanks

Dennis and others interested:

We have a page prepared by John Fabian as an adventure and treat

to all of you . . . with photos and NEW great 3D interactive features for this prototype, which Peavey did show at St. Louis (and which we tried out in our booth for a large part of the show).

Since the Convention, we have learned that Peavey has decided to look at other options and will not be producing this amp as shown. mbrown@peavey.com may be able to fill you in on Peavey's future plans.

In the meantime, here's a look at the amp we all saw at St. Louis. (Remember to download the VMP 3.0.8 beta plug-in as noted on the page below ... in order to get the full FUN

effect John Fabian has created there).

Ok, Ann, I downloaded the player and looked at the Amp in 3D. Took me a few trys to get
the hang of it but it worked very well.
Sorry I missed the amp in your booth at the Convention....but then, I was too busy looking at the guitars.

I saw it and heard it played by Billy Phelps. I was impressed by the tone with only one twelve inch speaker. I thought it would do in a small venue or at home. The only problem I seen was that it still weighed about 45 pounds, which is not that much weight savings. You would be just about as well of to take your 1000 and have a lot of power in case you might need it. Of course it was going to be about $300 cheaper.
