Does JBL still manufacture E-130 4 ohm speakers?

I tried to order one through the Music store that I have been dealing with for many years & was told that the only available JBL E-130 is 8 ohm. Any validity to this?

It's true, though I've heard that they've done a special run of them for Webb.

Ernie,thats interesting.The tech who just reconed my J.B.L,asked me if I would like it wound for 4 or 8 ohms, since the Webb can handle either.Apparently it increases the output by a considerable amount to wind it to 4 ohms.

I don't think JBL offers an E-130-4, but offers re-cone kits. According to my local JBL dealer, they list kits as E-130-8, or E-130-4. To my knowledge, a 4 ohm E was never offered, at least when I got mine nearly 15 years ago.

I can recone a JBL E130, K130 or D130F to 4 ohms. I do it almost every day. It will perform and sound like a JBL.

Is that using actual JBL recone kits?
It's funny, I was told last year by many
authorized JBL reconing places (including Orange County Speaker in CA) that 4 ohm
kits were no longer being made. Did
they start making them again?
