MaCAULEY Speakers

A friend has recently turned up with a brand new MaCauley Sound Inc B1590 15inch speaker. Has anyone any experience of these or info? It looks like a black widow clone.

I don't know about the 1590 speaker you mention, but their new 6000-series is very impressive...and VERY expensive. They're designed physically like a Standel---shallow cast basket and large (4 inch) voice coil. But there is no comparison in the power-handling capabilities. Theirs handles 800 watts, while the Standel handles only 50 watts.

Yes, a very high-end speaker, mostly known for pro PA stuff. Never heard one in a guitar amp, but who knows?
