A recone job should be easy to quote for any
mfg. I only like JBL's and BW's myself.
I have old JBL's reconed all the time. Its
usually 185.00 If you have to have the magnet
reset ther is another small charge.
The guy that does mine is very good and does
consistent work.
Check them out www.circuitshop.com

Just a suggestion, but I think you could get a NEW bass speaker (maybe a Peavey?) for that amount, or less.

Donny
Surely 185.00 for reconed JBL is better than
a regular bass speaker!
If you have a choice of a D130 or Peavey/Emminence bass speaker. You
surely would pick the JBL.

If Peavey makes a 15" BW that would work, and I'm sure they do, I'd go for that. If it ever blows again all you have to do is replace the basket, which is much cheaper than a new speaker or having one reconed.

The "field replaceable" basket is one of the better designs to come along in the speaker world.
